Outline - By Any Other Name!

The show where contestants try to say the same thing in as many different ways as they can!

Provided by the host, a contestant receives a word or phrase, such as "get a move on". They must then list synonyms, such as "hurry", "speed up", "shake a leg", "rush", "scorch", "skedaddle", etc.

Round 1 Each contestant (out of five) is given their own word or phrase with 30 seconds to answer. The contestant who lists the fewest answers is eliminated.

Round 2  The remaining (four) contestants must list synonyms for the same word or phrase in turn. The first two who fail to provide a word within 2 seconds of their turn are eliminated.

(turn order is determined by points gained in first round, each unique answer = 1 point)

Final Round  The last two contestants left standing aim to list all synonyms found on the judges' sheet.

Working with the same word or phrase, contestants will be told how many variations the judges have. As both contestants remain on stage, the best performing contestant so far can decide if they want to list first and potentially "block out" the other (listing all words or phrases the other may think of), or list second for a chance to steal the show -but listen up! If the second to list mistakenly duplicates an answer, it's all over!

The winning contestant takes home a prize, with a prize pack up for grabs if they manage to list every word on the judges' sheet, plus the opportunity for "lexicon loonies" (additional cash prize) for any answers not found on the judges' sheet that are deemed acceptable.
